Vom Suchen und Ankommen

It is more than fitting that the Indian singer Frazan Adil Kotwal was chosen as the soloist for this programme, as he has also gave space to his longing by realising his dream of becoming a singer on his own initiative.

This inner closeness was immediately noticeable. It wasn’t just his captivating voice that was full of emotion, but also his face and his very expressive eyes. Kotwal left a glowing, but also dreamy, gentle and empathetic impression. The orchestra was characterised by harmony, so that Kotwal was embedded in the instrumental sound and yet glistened out of it. In the “Birdcatcher” encore, he once again showed his concentrated charm: radiant, acting, full of humour and a twinkle in his eye, he drowned out some of the brass’s insecurities
